REVIEW : OSCAR WYLEE GLASSES

A brand that recently caught my attention when a college of mine had purchased new prescription glasses from Australian brand Oscar Wylee.

Right: Brooke in dark tortoise shell// Left: Graham in dark obre brown

They have a store based in Sydney CBD on Sussex Street, I am frequently close to this location so decided to have a look, The store is very different to a regular optometrist and has a very hip and indie feel to it.

The company also has an option for an at home trial where frames will be delivered to your door to try and then you just post them back after a specified number of days ( 5 to be exact ).

The style of the frames are quite of a vintage/retro style and mostly made from plastic. They are quite different and reasonably priced.

You can have eye tests also done at the store, however i came with my most recent prescription, tried on a few frames and the ordering process was very quick . My glasses arrived in 7 days and were ready for pick up. A quick fitting and I was all done.

So far so good, I find the quality of the lens allot better than that of my older Spec savers glasses and have had many compliments so far.

There are a few different specials , i chose one pair of prescription glasses and one pair of prescription sunglasses.( Pictured above)  One a obre style brown ( this also comes in an ice blue and light transparent brown) and the other is a dark tortoise shell as pictured below.

The company also works with an I Care for Eyecare program charity supporting those who need vision world wide, which is great!  It is around a " buy 1 pair give 1 pair ".
